I’m a writer and teacher and grad student living in Harlem. My work has appeared in The New Yorker, Guernica, and in the 2014 Whitney Biennial. An early novel was published in Serbian and Macedonian but never in English. My new novel, To Remain Nameless, came out in English on May 1, 2020. I’ve worked over the years as an NGO contractor and community organizer, co-proprietor of an illegal space, cook, bartender and researcher, TV producer and copy editor. My current work is on the bathysphere logbooks — the first eyewitness account of the deep ocean — and other things subaquatic.
Please subscribe to my tinyletter, Sixth Floor Yellow Light, which I send out every few months, mostly stories and experiments and translations.
